Feb 16, 2019 · Overall, the build quality of the FE 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 G OSS is very good and a significant step up from most consumer-oriented 70-300mm lenses. The design is not quite as robust and reassuring as Sony’s G-Master line, but this helps to keep the weight down, and the lens balances perfectly on the A7 series of cameras.
Aug 18, 2015 · Weighing in at 840g, the aluminium alloy bodied Sony FE 70-200mm f/4 G OSS is pretty heavy for a compact system camera lens, but lighter and smaller most full-frame 70-200mm lenses for DSLR camera. It is rather large for a body like the Sony A7R II body that we tested it with, as shown in the photos below - fitting a vertical battery grip would definitely help with the overall balance. Don’t confuse this lens with the similar looking Sony 70-200mm F/2.8 G lens reviewed here.. As with all lenses in this class, it has a constant aperture (this one is F/4) over the entire zoom range and will not fluctuate at different zoom lengths. Full frame 70-200mm G Lens. Oct 16, 2013 · The 70-200 f/4 Sony lens are a beautiful lens but how is this compared to a Canon 70-200 f/2.8 IS II with a metabones V adapter, they are about the same price in my county so interested if somebody has tried it out!!
